Elves for Elders 

 

Karla Wieland-Cherry, Clark Higgins and Amy Betts are asking our members to start collecting items to put in holiday stockings that will go to Seniors at Partners in Care in Caroline & Talbot Counties and Seniors at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Chesapeake Woods in Dorchester.

 

We ordered 50 stockings and will order more if our members are super generous. 

 

The following items can be dropped off at the MSBR Board Office or bring to the Holiday Brunch on Dec 5th at the Elks Lodge in Easton. 

 

Items Include: 2025 calendar, gloves, hot chocolate packets, hard candy, miniature flashlights, gift cards to local grocery stores, cookies, notecards, stationary, pens, chocolates, lotions, crossword puzzles, word search books, candles, shampoo, soaps, scarves, packaged nuts, shaving cream, winter socks, slippers, and nonperishable food items.

 

MSBR also has 16 specific Senior wish lists.

HOLIDAY BRUNCH & LEGISLATIVE

UPDATE FROM LOCAL MAYORS

 

Dec. 5th at The Elks Lodge in Easton from 11am-1pm

 

MSBR will hold a holiday brunch where our local Mayors will give updates on the towns they represent.

 

So as not to compete with school recitals, community parades and other personal events; MSBR will hold a brunch at the ELKS Lodge in Easton.

 

We will hear from the Mayors of

Cambridge, Centreville, Denton, and Easton. 

 

Your only cost to attend is to bring items to fill the stockings that will be distributed to Seniors in Caroline, Dorchester & Talbot Counties.

REALTOR & Affiliate Dues will be E-mailed on Nov. 1st

  • Due date is December 1, 2024.
  • REALTORS please pay before Jan. 2, 2025 to avoid the $100 late fee. 
  • E-mail notices go out every 10 days. Once paid you no longer receive the notices.
  • REALTOR dues are $845-
  • Affiliate dues are $300-

MSBR distributed a Welcome Basket to a new Habitat For Humanity homeowner this past Saturday.

 

MSBR has been distributing Habitat new homeowners with kitchen and cleaning supplies for over four years and received their 2024 Community Partner of the Year award!

Talbot County is seeking a Talbot resident to serve on the County Planning Commission. Interested members can see the requirements and job description: Planning Commission - Talbot County, Maryland

 

This Commission makes advisory recommendations to the Planning Officer and the Council relating to the Comprehensive Plan, zoning maps, and rules and regulations relating to zoning. The Planning Commission has final decision-making authority over major subdivisions and commercial and industrial site plan review.  The Talbot County Planning Commission is composed of five County residents, appointed by the Council for terms of five years on a staggered basis.

Regular meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m., in the Bradley Meeting Room, Talbot County Courthouse, 11 N Washington Street, Easton, Maryland.
