MSBR General Membership Meeting
Tuesday, September 26, 2023 11:30am-1:30pm VFW Post 5118 at 335 Glebe Road in Easton
No Cost to attend but must RSVP

Caroline County Commissioner Vice President Larry Porter Dorchester County Council President Lenny Pfeffer Queen Anne's County Commission President Phillip Dumenil Talbot County Council President Chuck Callahan and Lisa May, Maryland REALTORS Director of Advocacy and Public Policy to provide an update of the 2024 General Session.
Megan Rosendale will give an update on the Down Payment Grant Program and announce the results of the 2023-2024 MSBR Leadership Election.

MSBR Ballots for the 2023-2024 MSBR Leadership will be sent out today in a separate e-mail to all eligible members.
Complete the ballot on-line, or MSBR will have ballots at the office or at the membership meeting on Sept. 26th.
Results of the election will be announced at the Membership & Legislative Luncheon on Sept 26th.

The 10th Down Payment Grant Goes to Joshua Dohoney
First time home buyer Joshua Dohoney was the 10th Grant recipient. MSBR affiliate Brenda Andrew with Academy Mortgage handled the loan and Ed Cartwright with Benson and Mangold was the Sellers Agent. MSBR still has available grant funds.

It's critical that REALTORS® articulate the value they bring to the transaction and the role REALTORS® play in guiding consumers through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. In addition to the longstanding practice of having listing agreements, every real estate agent should implement the use of buyer representation agreements into their practice.
The Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. The ABR® course educates REALTORS® how to convey their value to a buyer-client and conduct a successful buyer counseling session that educates the buyer-client, builds trust, and leads to a signed buyer representation agreement.
