**PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN LOCATION**This 3-hour CE class will be offered in person at MID SHORE BEHAVORIAL HEALTH, 28578 Mary's Court, Suite 1, Easton. Agent choice of credit: "ELECTIVE" or "FAIR HOUSING" The presenters are Colette Massengale, Senior Policy Representative for Fair Housing at National Association of REALTORS and Kathleen McTeague Dartez, General Counsel of Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS. The objectives of the class are: 1. Describe the history of bias and discrimination in real estate to understand how neighborhoods became segregated and appreciate the challenges many consumers still face because of their identities. 2. Explain how implicit bias may result in violations of Fair Housing laws and industry ethics. 3. Identify interventions to prevent implicit bias, identify anxiety, and stereotype threat from influencing behavior so that consumers are treated with equal concern, respect, and fairness. 4. Increase personal motivation to confront these phenomena in business and the community.
